More activity needed+thoughts

All right, I think its time to boost the activity here a little again. Which means we need to do something.

The rank contest up and died, so I don't think a contest would work, unless someone else has a few more ideas.

We could try advertising this place. Get the word out about it on other sites if you want.

Let's not have this place die, as we've spent so much time in it!

somebody needs to talk to whoever it is we're waiting for on the Mistborn rp. I really don't want that one to die.

Ok so the fact is,

if you want more people to come and join Silver Moonlight, then you "NEED TO ADVERTISE". So what I have been thinking about is finding (creating) a specific group of people from SM to help us do that. Wolf Quest (WQ) is a huge Forum and would be a great place to start I think. If you have freinds on WQ (saying you have an account like me and Lark) then start there. Talk to people, Start a conversation with them, and tell them about SM while you do. Next on the list, I believe would other forums. If we can increase our number of members, ultimately we increase our chances of greater activity.

Now speaking as an ex-Peace Officer with Toronto Police... I can say honestly that the people chossen will have to be:

1. Professional
2. Respectful
3. Patient
4. Commited

Just as a general tip to all when advertising SM... Its great to advertise and we should all do it as members of the community (Its our responsibility) "BUT BEWARE"... If you push to hard on other forums you may be flagged, reported, warned, suspended, or even banned!!! Its important to be subtle in your approach (in my opinion) for this reason. You should talk to them as a person, (not a customer or target) Introduce yourself as you would to a new friend. Ask them how they are, ask if they like to RP and what about, and somewhere down the line tell them about SM and leave them a link to us. This process here is why patience is needed alot of the time, and you probably wont get everyone you want to which can be discouraging, but if yourcommited you will definitely get alot!!!

I've already advertised in most places I can on WQ, the rp site thread, my signature, etc. I'll probably put out a message on Tumblr later, seeing as I have nearly 400 followers on there, someone is bound to have a look.

Other forums and sites would be a good place to do it, also If you now how to set up bots, Omegle (annoying as it is) is a great place to start, I would assume. There is upwards of 30-40 thousand people on, daily, if memory serves correct, and I would assume that since you set your interests for the bot to search (ie, wolf rp, rp, roleplay, wolf roleplay, Etc) you would be bound to find somone, I would think, that woud at least check out our link

So please if you have any better suggestions please say so, but really this is all I can think of at the moment, again, besides other forums. I would certainly be willing to help you advertise Lark but I will not do so unless you ask me to (as this is your forum, your call)!!! Also shoot me a message If you do intend to set up an advertising.... Team... As I have done advertising in the past (father was in graphics and instals so its second nature) and would gladly help you out with it now If you would like that!!!

Yessss, we really need the Cosmere Crossover back. I know that would at least bring Ashe back - he's really excited about Taliad.

Although I am quite happy hearing you will both be becoming more active... I dont think you shold feel bad.

Something I have come to learn is "none of us get out if this world alive". Life is far to short to be sorry for such trivial things!!! The best thing you guys can do to make it up to us.... Make good on your word!!! You say you will be more active, prove it to us by showing us that!!!
